Sylvan concert in Oslo cancelled - well in fact the whole prog festival has been cancelled due to the promoters going bankrupt. Totally p*ssed off with this as flights booked etc. Seems they over estimated last year and lost around Ģ40k and scaled down this year to only 2 days instead of 3 and at much smaller venue. However, not sure what has happened but to all intents and purposes the whole thing is now cancelled and I will not see the band play Posthumous Silence live now. embarassed cry

Now onwards and upwards and will hopefully see Gazpacho and Pineapple Thief in Oslo on 23 Jan 09.

Next up for me is Musical Box next month followed by maybe Francis Dunnery later in the month.

Yeah, MB on 15th and Francis D is a real possibility but I will confirm well before the date but I don't see any reason for not being able to attend on the night. cool

Very sorry to read of the festival cancellation David, I know just how excited you were by the prospect of seeing Posthumous Silence played in its entirety sad

That's a real bummer IMO. angry

Cheers Colin but these things happen as you only know too well with the MMEB situation.

I have the gig on DVD so I can enjoy that. Thankfully my friend did not buy the tickets otherwise I would have been further out of pocket. Roll on January and a visit to Oslo then. Btw, did the postie come today with something nice for you? wink

Joey Molland, who joined Badfinger in 1969, is touring with a group of musicians under the name Badfinger. Here's Joey's MySpace site http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=27737341

Joey played guitar as a guest artist on George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" and "The Concert For Bangladesh," as well as John Lennon's "Imagine" album.

Joey's the guy on the far left (I always thought he looked like Paul McCartney's brother)

Cheers for that but I love the old Badfinger albums and would only really have gone to see them with Pete Hamm on board. Still, other bands are/were doing the rounds such as Graham Gouldman under the banner of 10cc with only him as the original member.
