I saw Killswitch Engage on June 17. Great concert.

I will hopefully see Björk live @ Øyafestivalen in Oslo in the middle of August smiley

Have you heard of the Swedish band Paatos, Mia? Their lead vocalist has been compared to Björk. They are really good.

Roger Waters this Saturday. I figured I might as well catch The Wall spectacle before it is retired for good.

Isle of Wight Festival this coming weekend, which features none other than our Steve Hackett on the main stage on Sunday afternoon.

Other artists of intrest over the weekend are;
Elbow, Pearl Jam, Biffy Clyro, Big Country, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Hue & Cry, The Darkness, Black Stone Cherry, Tobi & Andy Fraser (of Free), Terry Reid, The Christians, Roachford, Beth Hart.

There's a whole bunch of other stuff, indie bands and dance stuff but I'm not so interested in that.

Oh dear, just been reading how there is 'chaos' at the festival due to the rain - people stuck in cars overnight, fields flooded, traffic at a standstill. Hope you're not too badly affected and that the festival goes ok.

Well I don't live in that part of the island so haven't been affected by the chaos in that respect, but I am directly affected in that part of the site is held on school playing fields that I manage, so I have to keep trying to get to the site!
Its pretty much a mudbath, as we speak I'm trying to arrange measures to mitigate the damage... hey-ho what fun!

You might need a few more of those because not only is My Morning Jacket headlining this hometown fest on Saturday night, they're curators of the fest. Some pretty nice bands they've lined up to play. Wilco headlining Sunday night to close.

I'm sure the part you'll really like is I managed to score a limited VIP ticket to MMJ's sound check on Sat, complete with a pit pass for the show that night. Then after they close Sat, I have a ticket to an after show with members of the band and Preservation Hall Jazz Band on The Belle Of Louisville Riverboat! It should be a great MMJ day/night.

No worries though, I'll be sure and sample some more of that Kentucky Bourbon that you, and Jon were enjoying so much the last time we were in L'Ville. I'll lift a few in your honor.
