I agree,in part, as I started losing interest with "Deceptive Bends", which I thought was below par and much prefer the first 3 albums

I'm not so keen on the very first album though there are some great tracks on it.

only just heard How Dare You for the first time yesterday

Lucky you!! I LOVE that album wink

Feel The Benefit has never grabbed me, for some reason, and I feel that if it had, I would've like the album a lot more.

It's got a similar structure to "One Night In Paris" and I think it's every bit as good (well, almost wink)

Highlights of the concert, for me, were "Second Sitting","I'm Mandy" and the acapella version of "Donna"

Second Sitting For The Last Supper is another top 5 10cc track for me and I don't recall them playing it when I saw them angry

Reading all your comments made me check the tour dates. 10cc are playing at Symphony Hall next Monday and there are a few seats left. I'm tempted wink

I'd go for it if you can! (I said the same to Julie this morning....).

Not the 'original' line up of course, which probably would have been selling out even bigger venues, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Interesting Graham Gouldman seems to be going for bigger venues than when they were on tour last year. I didn't see the full tour list last year but I saw them at High Wycombe (Swan) with about 1,000 capacity; at least some of the venues he's playing this year look to be double that.

The first album is pretty good with 3 or 4 excellent tracks on it. I'm going to have to buy it on cd.

Played How Dare You for the 2nd time and I can see that I'm going to enjoy that a lot.

One Night In Paris is brilliant but Feel The Benefit is not in the same league, imo, but I can appreciate why you like it.

Second Sitting is my favourite 10cc song and they came on with that. I wasn't expecting it. They also played Sand In My Face from the first album

Fantastic David - well done!!

I wonder if they'll play stuff from their individual bands?

I would think they'd have to, being that they only have the one album and that Neal Morse cannot play any gig at less than 3 hours grin

They might do some solo Neal, Transatlantic, Dixie Dregs, maybe even some Beard cool

It's still 4 months away. Apparently they're doing a European tour after the 2 gigs they do here in the states, one in California and one in New York.

Only 1 gig in the UK - Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 21st September I think. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, will try to be there.

This is the only album I have featuring Neal Morse, but I really love it, probably more than any Dream Theater I have... are there many similarities between Flying Colours and other Neal Morse-related material?

Was it you or was it me? Or was it he or she?

NB: despite what my name may suggest, I was not born in 1972 tongue

Not really, outside of the fact that Neal Morse's solo material is just as consistently great. Since Flying Colors' material is a melding of ideas between 4 or 5 band members, there's quite a difference when compared to Neal's solo efforts where he has total control. Of Neal's solo stuff, I recommend Sola Scriptura, One, ?, Testimony 1 & 2. He has another one coming out soon called "Momentum." Can't wait! cool
