Hi Nov,

Thought you may have been tempted by Stackridge, at The Stables, Thursday 3rd May wink

Hi Steve,

I did think about it and thought of contacting you but there's a couple of reasons why I'll give it a miss this time around:

1) Thursday is my sons fencing night so I'm normally tied up with that.

2) I could be wrong but I suspect that the show will be very, very similar to when we saw them last year.

I wouldn't rule out seeing them again sometime though.

Cheers

Terrific evening! Mellotrons, Hammonds (sounds like a keyboard fest!) and The Busby Babes thrown in was bound to be a fun night! Superb gig with a really unusual setlist, hearing great songs I'd forgotten about, played excellently well!

I saw The Tubes in 1976 for their self-titled debut album and its follow-up Young and Rich. They were playing a local University campus here in SoCal. Fee Waybill and band were amazing! The word unforgettable comes to mind. During the song White Punks On Dope, Fee dresses up as Quay Lude. Check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGQUs6JG_fU&feature=related

This is a band that had a lot of potential, but ended up playing to the top 40 crowd.

I saw them about 5 years ago and they were excellent. I don't think they've been near enough to me since then

I booked a ticket this afternoon just after my post, while I remembered!

They do seem to be playing quite a lot of gigs this summer, but not really in the north-west....
