OK. And the other thing you should know is that despite my recent listening experiences, e.g. tons of Rush, Genesis remain my all time favourite band and that fact is unlikely to ever change. They are like a comfy pair of slippers to me. grin Therefore if the opportunity arose, I would see Genesis tribute bands on 4 or 5 consecutive nights. shocked wink At my age I am unlikely to get bored of them. smiley

I agree, I still love Genesis, always will, I've played Dance on a Volcano to death but I still love that song so. A band of such high quality is difficult to get bored of. cool

My Hollies gig has changed from March 31st in Southend, to March 28th in Chatham, so it's earlier than expected. grin

Any comments about these guys would be most welcome. I've seen countless Pink Floyd tribute bands but not this one. They are playing in Hayes, west London in a month or two. Thanks in advance. smiley

I was impressed. They were better than I expected to be honest! Played a lot of early Syd Barrett Floyd which made me feel like I was back in the 60s era of psychedelia! grin If only I was on something stronger than shandy! grin grin grin

Go and see them , Nige! See what you think. smiley

Thanks Lesley. I probably will go and see Think Floyd, even though I'm not a massive fan of pre-1970 Pink Floyd.

A fairly eclectic two or three months for me:

Mar 17th: G2, High Wycombe
Mar 23rd: The Hollies, Basingstoke
Mar 31st: Grey Lady Down, Reading
April 13 /14th: G2, Charterhouse
May 1st: The Osmonds, High Wycombe
May 6th: Manfred Mann's Earth Band, The Stables
May 11/ 12th: G2, The Stables

Yes, that is The Osmonds (not Donny, Marie or little Jimmy though). You must remember I'm a lady of a certain age, and the Osmonds were very big in my impressionable youth!

Hi,

There were only 4 pre 1970 songs (not that I'd have been unhappy if there were more wink). The bulk of the 2nd set was based upon Live at Pompeii and very good it was too.

There were only 4 musicians, plus a backing, girl singer, so don't expect the whole Aussie Floyd/Britfloyd wall of sound, projections, lighting etc. Think Floyd are well worth seeing and half the price of the aforementioned bands.

Agreed

I saw them at The Stables last year and they were excellent - although I didn't feel compelled to go and see them again at the same venue at the weekend.

I find you can get too much Floyd wink
