There's an interview with Gary Lightbody in today's Metro. I like this bit talking about their worst ever gig:

"It was High Wycombe in 2003. The venue was a strip club in the day and they'd unscrew the pole from the stage in the evening for the gig. It was pretty dire. Final Straw was out in Britain and not doing that well. Fifteen people came to the gig and we thought about giving up. Then Jo Whiley started playing Run on the radio and it changed things for us almost overnight."

I have the Live At Sibelius Hall video - I too, am rather jealous.

I wasn't much of a Tarja or Nightwish fan, my wife is, but I enjoyed the show immensely. She's one tallented lady and radiates great warmth. I enjoyed the music too, also the classical/acoustic interlude.

I'm sure I will as I've seen them 4 or 5 times and they've always been great. Hopefully they'll have their original "Christine McVie" back as well. smiley

Hope you're enjoying it, Nige!

My next gig is Roger Chapman at the Robin on Sunday.

Steve Hammond has kindly won the quickie quiz for Kev and I (grammar wink) to share!

Cheers Steve! Hope you enjoy the Arsenal Villa game and that it's a good result for us! wink smiley

Well Fleetwood Bac had their original "Christine McVie" back. smiley But they had a new "Stevie Nicks"! shocked That means in all the times I've seen them, the only constant has been "Lindsey Buckingham". shocked Having said that, the new "Stevie" was up to the job and they put on a fabulous performance as always. cool

I've seen two different Lindsey Buckinghams! I think Steve Puddick told me that there are several members who step in and out of the roles. That's the only thing I'm not keen on. I like a band to be a band with the same members all the time.

Enjoy Echoes tonight. I've never seen them.

Thanks Les. Echoes are great, though they only tend to play in South West London, Surrey and Berkshire.
