Feist at Massey Hall was a marvelous concert. I hadn't seen her before and was surprised that she takes on all the lead guitar duties. The concert focused on her great new album Metals but had plenty of favourites from her two previous albums, often radically reworked (Mushaboom was almost unrecognizaable). In a nice touch, she encouraged people dancing in their seats to join her onstage. By an hour into the concert, the stage was stuffed with fans, who were permitted to stay there the duration of the concert.

Next up, a house concert with Emm Gryner.

The Phantoms gig last night was really good. smiley The setlist was very interesting and varied and covered all eras from the sixties to the noughties. Where else could you see a band cover AC/DC's Highway To Hell and then follow it with Abba's Does Your Mother Know? shocked grin wink It was also nice to finally meet Mr Flower Kings AKA Nov and have a chat. smiley I also briefly met and spoke to soldoutfad, so it was good to meet you too.

Thanks so much for coming and I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was great to meet you.

I'm sorry that I was flitting around a bit but there were a lot of family and friends there to catch up on plus the nervous excitement of actually playing the gig wink

Cheers!

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention this. A couple of weeks ago I saw another Beatles tribute, the "Upbeat Beatles" and met Sandy Newman from the 1960s band Marmalade, who opened the show before the Upbeats came on. Very nice man, and a very talented guitarist. smiley
