This is the Eurythmics tribute band that Oz founded and played in for 5 years, (before we met!) and they are folding the band and this is their farewell gig!
So all the past members are going to be getting on stage to do a few numbers each.

So i finally get to see Oz drum in anger so to speak!!

Looking forward to it smiley

Bugga! Just spotted this! I'd have gone!

The Floyd Effect, Friday 25th February, Ruislip.

I think I've come out after every tribute band gig having enjoyed the show to some degree. But obviously some shows are better than others and The Floyd Effect yesterday must rank somewhere near the top. cool The musicians were all top notch, including the guitarist, who was introduced by the keyboard player as "having beaten Dave Gilmour into second place in a Dave Gilmour soundalike competition". I tell you what, he wasn't wrong. grin wink Highlights included:

What Do You Want From Me (one of my favs from The Division Bell)
On The Turning Away (my fav from A Momentary Lapse Of Reason)
The whole of The Dark Side Of The Moon cool
The full length Echoes cool

The audience was great as well, maybe 200-300 people, and you could tell the band were loving it. Thoroughly recommended to any fans of Pink Floyd. smiley

I really love this guy, what a great musician!
I saw him perform a few years back to a packed out SECC in Glasgow. He put on a memorable show, so I reckon you are in for a rare treat smiley
