Not for me but bought 2 tickets for my daughter's Christmas to see Glee in Dublin in July next year. The total cost (once you add in 14 euros for booking fees - grrrrr) is 175 euros (ouch) I would not normally do this but it's for my daughter and the other ticket is for her Mum (my ex) who will pay me back on pain of death.

Saw The Machine last night. Spectacular show. While I admit that some of the songs played in the first set were not favorites, the band was outstanding. Then they came back for the second set, started with accoustic versions of three great old songs, and then launched into Animals. The whole album. Wow, what an incredibly powerful show.

Set One:

01 Welcome To The Machine
02 Astronomy Domine
03 Happiest Days Of Our Lives
04 Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)
05 Your Possible Pasts
06 What Do You Want From Me
07 Hey You
08 Money
09 Echoes
10 On The Turning Away

Set Two:

Mini-Acoustic set:

01 Wots...uh the Deal
02 If
03 Fearless

ANIMALS:

04 Pigs On The Wing (Part One)
05 Dogs
06 Pigs (Three Different Ones)
07 Sheep
08 Pigs On The Wing (Part Two)

Encore:

09 Speak To Me/Breathe
10 Time/Breathe (reprise)

cool

I might be going to see a Rolling Stones tribute band on Friday. If I do, I'll be thinking of Laura. smiley

Funnily enough the Counterfeit Stones are playing at the Robin tonight. Nick Dagger was switching on the Christmas lights in Bilston before the gig! grin (Money must be tight as well as his trousers!)

My next gig is Hackett on Monday. Must remember to take notice of the lights in Bilston!

I'm going to the Metropolis Studios in London on Dec 4th to see Caravan and John Lees' Barclay James Harvest filming for the ITV Legends series.

Then off to Bournemouth International Centre on 10th for Jeff Wayne's Musical version of War of the Worlds, and back again on May 8th for Mike and the Mechanics.

I might do something in between, see what's on.

Which one is it?

I've seen The Rollin' Stoned and they were excellent.

Technically not my next gig, but my latest. Went to see a Canadian East Coast Celtic/Folk/Pop group, The Rankin Family, this weekend. They were wonderful.
