No thanks mate, the Porkies was my final stand up gig. There may be certain bands in the future that I may change my mind for but at this time I am fed up with the hassle of paying big bucks to become a sardine, get pushed and shoved, struggle to see above a sea of heads of blokes bigger than me and add in all the hassle of the ameobas talking and laughing spoiling it. Too old now mate and far less tolerant. Thanks anyway bud.

Actually, I was offered front row aisle seats, but I prefer being in the center of the venue, especially when it only seats 450 people.

Roine and Neal are usually on the left and Pete and Mike are usually on the right side of the stage, so I'd rather be in the center and just bask in all their glory grin

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in totally exhausted and yelling: Holy shit, what a ride!

-7 this morning and it took me over 30 minutes to clear my car of ICE as the snow had frozen so badly I needed a chisel rather than de-icer or a scraper. Thankfully, I am back on holiday from tonight until 5 Jan so any mornings of bad frost and snow can be best ignored and I do not need to go to work.

For the first time ever I had to request ear plugs from the venue (the very good "Arches" in Glasgow) for the Dr. Feelgood gig last night.

Not a bad gig supported by two half decent local bands but, my God, the noise was beyond safe levels (despite being of a good quality) and very uncomfortable. angry
Met the singer after the gig but the management were in a rush to get us out for the disco that was to follow..............bollll**ks I say tongue
