I recall FM had just released City Of Fear when I saw them open for Rush on the Moving Pictures tour.

That reminds me, I've been tardy in adding to my FM collection since the post-Black Noise albums were re-issued on CD last year.
I immediately at the time grabbed Direct to Disc (which I never had or heard before).
I should probably get Surveillance and City Of Fear before those albums are deleted again.

FM should have had more recognition and been a lot more successful, but I think their timing was a little off. By the time Black Noise got a proper wide release and airplay the prog scene was starting to fade. Plus their main asset in terms of image, Nash The Slash, had left the band by then. Still, Black Noise did get some noteriety. Surveillance was hit & miss, I think, and it seems whatever profile they managed to establish at that point had suffered. Which is a shame because I think City Of Fear is a great album.

Saw them live a few times. One notable gig had another interesting prog band open for them, Nightwinds.

Apparently their drummer, Martin Deller, has been a good friend of Neil Peart for many years.

Hi there

Her first few albums were superb and I would love to see her in concert again but she never seems to get round to Liverpool these days.

She released a new album late last year and has been touring Europe and North America. I went to see her just this past Saturday. cool

She played a handful of shows in England this past summer, but I think they were located mostly in the southern region of the country.

She did a show in Manchester in January, 2014. My trusty internet says that's about 30 miles from Liverpool. Geez, I drive twice that far to work every day.
