Great list of George's songs! I went thru a period in the late 70s where I listened to George more than any other artist. His songs bring peace to the soul. I used to burn strawberry incense and take in the positive vibe. My two favorite Harrison albums are All Things Must Pass and Living In The Material World.

Thanks, Dave! Material World was one of the very first albums I ever bought, and I listened to it constantly. Years later I found All Things and his later albums. At the risk of pissing-off any McCartney fans, George was always my second-favorite Beatle. So many of his songs are so gorgeous and poetic... they often make me smile and cry at the same time. smiley

A Guns N' Roses compilation, with a running order based on the setlists from their Use Your Illusion tour, back in the days when they were a proper band and not Axl Rose's solo project.

01. it's so easy
02. mr brownstone
03. yesterdays
04. welcome to the jungle
05. don't cry
06. civil war
07. patience
08. november rain
09. you could be mine
10. sweet child of mine
11. knocking on heaven's door
12. estranged
13. paradise city

Many of these songs are quite long, so it's not easy to burn a single CD without leaving out some of their great songs...

3 - My Generation
4 - Magic Bus (live at Leeds or R.A.H )
5 - Who Are You
6 - Behind Blue Eyes
7 - Heart To Hang Onto
8 - Imagine A Man
9 - Empty Glass (Pete solo track)
10 - Join Together
11 - Young Man Blues
12 - Welcome
13 - I'm Free
14 - 5.15 (live at R.A.H for Johns bass solo)
15 - Doctor Jimmy (roger's vocal)
16 - The Rock (Keiths drums,)
17 - Won't Get Fooled Again.

Also a Pete solo track. Perhaps you should just go for a separate Pete solo list as there are certainly enough good songs to fill one. Then you could add two more Who songs to this list.

I'm not sure why, but I never got into that one. Maybe it's because when the album came out in '87 I was building my CD collection primarily by replacing my favorite LPs with CDs. Didn't get Cloud Nine until a few years later. I will pull it out and give it some more listens. smiley

Might, if the fades were a bit quicker for the crowd noise on the live versions!

Another great list. But I would need to find some way to fit Ghost Dancing on this.

Mine would be totally different, with most of the tracks from what I consider to be the band's essential album trilogy: New Gold Dream, Sparkle In The Rain and Once Upon A Time. These three albums are very good and much, much better than all of their other albums IMHO.

Fair enough, but I know you're not that keen on the band's pre-New Gold Dream output. sad
