I'm almost ashamed to say this, but The Strawbs were never big here in the states. I've never heard one note from the band, in any of its incarnations shocked

Outside of that little impropriety, Carl, your list is primo! smiley

Amazing how lists like this remind you of artists you have not played for a while. For me, Knight Area. I have their 2 albums but can't remember the last time I played either of them. Thanks for the reminder grin

Agreed. I too often see someone mention a band I haven't played for ages, and it usually puts me right in the mood to dig them out and hear them again. smiley

Time for an update, methinks.
My current top five are:

Pendragon (Easily my most played band lately)
Rush
Touchstone (Thanks to COT)
Apple Pie (Again, thanks to COT)
Agents Of Mercy

But soon, Porcupine Tree will re-enter the lists...

Porcupine Tree - a new album has brought renewed interest.

MMEB - Listening to the 2005 Japanese masters which are a definite improvement.

Sylvan - The new album is very good indeed.

Santana - I have so many albums that have been gathering dust.

Quidam - some of the early stuff this time, love the Camel adaptations.

Procul Harum (got the remaster of 'A Salty Dog'!)
Transatlantic (because they weren't on the Beatle covers programme Cilla Black hosted on Radio 2)
Pete Atkin
