I recently downloaded an unofficial live recording of Journey from 74 (being a big Santana fan, I was always curious of this lineup featuring Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon plus Aynsley Dunbar).
I liked what I heard so I just ordered the band's debut album

Journey - Journey

I have the first 3 Journey LPs and saw the original lineup when they opened for Todd Rundgren back in 1976. They were phenomenal. After Steve Perry joined Journey, they never played their original stuff in concert again until just recently, within the past couple of years, due to popular demand. With the original lineup of Journey, they were considered to be a progressive rock band. Steve Perry ruined them and made them into a pop rock band.

Went to record store today. Got a really amazing sounding cd: Essential Alan Parsons Project. The remaster job is the best I've ever heard. In was looking for some Camel DVDs but they didn't have anything at all, not even their cds

My brother bought these yesterday on iTunes:

Best of Duran Duran
Best of Rick Astley
Best of Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark

My brother is in LOVE with the 80s. Almost everything he loves is synthpop and new wave. He refuses to listen to much else. rolleyes

No problem with either Duran Duran or OMD as far as I'm concerned, but Rick Astley? huh

I bought this at Poundland! shocked OK, it says "pre-owned and fully refurbished" meaning that it's second hand, but it was wrapped in cellophane, is in very good condition and plays perfectly well. smiley And it sounds pretty good to me but even if it didn't, 1 would've been worth it just for this:

And fascinating fact number 427, Muse supported Feeder at some point in the late 1990s. cool

A couple of discs I ordered this week:

Steely Dan - Katy Lied
(I've got the first two SD albums, I thought I'd give this one a go)

Ant Phillips - Antiques/A Catch At The Tables
(newly re-issued)

Go get Delicate Flames of Desire which is their best album. Rachel Jones is lead singer while the guitarist (Paul Davis) is even better. Brilliant album
