Quella Vecchia Locanda - Quella Vecchia Locanda

This arrived yesterday, part of a slow, ongoing exploration into classic Italian prog that I began about two years ago.
After a couple of listens, I'm thinking this may be my favourite among the dozen or so Italian prog albums I've heard up to now.

Classical influences are more evident with QVL - piano, violin and flute being the predominant instruments (there are drums, bass and guitar as well, however) reminds me a bit of Tull from the Warchild era.

Ive got both QVL albums. I like the first one considerably more, though it seems to be a toss-up for most people, judging from reviews I've read on the Progarchives site.

Not Otherwise Specified 'Dance on a Volcano' . Excellent version of Genesis classic.

David Ford - Live in NYC. If you have not heard this guy then please do so. Saw him live on Saturday and he was simply amazing. So much so that I bought his back catalogue. He reminds me a little of Billy Joel in his younger days and a touch of Tim Booth, has a great voice, wonderful songwriter and plays a hoard of instruments. Honestly guys and gals, this guy is worth hearing. Check his video on Youtube for 'Go to Hell' where he uses this machine to multi layer.track all his vocals and instruments so that it sounds like a full band behind him. He did this on Saturday for this song and a few otherswhich was like a work of art.
