Received the new Tangent "Going Off On Two" DVD. I cannot wait to check this out. Andy Tillison is by all accounts one of today's masters of prog, in the truest sense.

CCLR - Cavalli-Cocchi, Lanzetti, Roversi

Brand new debut album from Italian Progressive Rock trio CCLR featuring Bernado Lanzetti (the voice of PFM) and with special guest Steve Hackett! This self-titled album features many wonderful new songs backed with the classic Progressive sound of the Mellotron. CCLR continue the tradition of Italian Progressive Rock groups, singing in English and bringing the genre up to date whilst acknowledging their past. Aside from new material, CCLR also revisit and re-arrange the ACQUA FRAGILE song Morning Comes and offer their interpretation of Brian Eno's By This River.

Funny how after almost 40 years, a spinoff of PFM would be another acronym! Ha! CCLR cheesy

The only criticism I've read regarding this release is that it's "too polished," summing it up as "better than expected." (from the Head Full Of Snow website)

I enjoy PFM, so this may be a good listen.

Hi there

Just got the remsaters to Mike Oldfield's Ommadawn and Hergest Ridge. If they are as good as the remaster of Incantations I shall be a very happy bunny!

On holiday in Witney, Oxfordshire. Courtesy of Rapture I bought Marillion's Fugazi and Holiday's in Eden. Something about an independent record shop that always makes me want to buy!

Or is it that I'm on holiday in Eden and I bought Marillion's Holidays in Witney?

Indeed. I've heard this album many times and previously owned a tape-to-tape copy. It's nice to finally have it on CD. smiley This means I now own all of what I regard as the "classic" Supertramp albums on CD, i.e. Crime Of The Century through Breakfast In America. Having said that I know you're not keen on BIA. I do also like Famous Last Words so may acquire that too at some point. smiley

I've had these on Vinyl forever, and I have virtually all other Dan on CD, but for some reason I just got around to getting these CDs too.

So Nigel.... I just picked this up, partly because I liked the brief clips that I heard and because I have a penchant for intelligent, female singer-songwriters, and largely because of your recommendation.

I haven't listened to it yet. It better be good. grin wink

just got it, after a few listens pretty good but not quite up there with "Black Sheep Boy", "The Stand Ins" or "Stage Names" -- I would recommend checking out one of those first before this new one ... but a great rockin', creative band from Austin, TX

I love that album, so I do hope you like it. If not you can have my head on a platter. wink
