This is absolutely the worst album I've ever owned....

User Image

I bought it on eBay for $0.01. On the album is their one hit song "Breakfast At Tiffany's," which has never been a favorite of mine, but given their sound and the likelihood that I might find a few decent tracks, I figured I couldn't really go wrong for a penny (plus a dollar for shipping, along with other CDs I bought).

I was wrong. It is wretched. Repulsive and repugnant. I can't imagine it being any worse, considering they did have one big hit song and seemed like a serviceable post-grunge '90s band. It makes the worst Toad The Wet Sprocket song seem like Beethoven's Ninth in comparison.

It is aggressively bad. I am considering just throwing it in the trash, which would be unprecedented. I am very proud of my growing, half-wall CD collection in my den, even with a few crummy albums in there... hell, I even have one of my wife's Celine Dion CDs in there because the case is a nice shade of magenta. shocked

I agree one hundred percent. I bought the album at the time, because I loved Breakfast At Tiffany`s. Fact is, that it is the only good track on the album. The rest is as you said. I played this album two times and no more ever since. One of the most disappointing purchases in my life, ever.

Thankfully I haven't heard the album. What precisely is wrong with it? Poorly-written lyrics? Dull melodies? Bad singing?

I think that Breakfast At Tiffany's is a passable song. Certainly there are far worse songs out there. grin

"Precisely"... it is utterly inept in every way. That's as precise as I can get. Check it out on YouTube. wink
