Paula Cole - she was PG's female vocalist on the Secret World DVD right? Is her own stuff good, Dust?

Was it you or was it me? Or was it he or she?

NB: despite what my name may suggest, I was not born in 1972 tongue

As I purchased her new album without having heard a note of it, my answer is yes.

Not everyone's cup of tea. She has a fantastic voice, and her songs range from pop ballads to low-key folk, with some occasionally-eclectic rock elements. She had two huge radio hits in the '90s... "I Don't Want To Wait" and "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?"

Fans of singer-songwriters like Suzanne Vega and Sarah McLachlan should like Paula, as would--I would think--many fans of Kate Bush. Songs like Kate's "This Woman's Work" are Paula's bread-and-butter. And yes... Peter Gabriel has consistently praised her work.

Have to admit, I really enjoyed her singing on the Live Gabriel DVD. Suzanne Vega and Kate Bush I like a lot but have not heard her solo stuff yet! smiley

Here's the song "Hush Hush Hush" from her This Fire album. Peter Gabriel on guest vocals. Warning... it's kinda sleepy, but not much more so than "Don't Give Up." smiley
