Pure is a fantastic release by Pendragon. I've only recently been getting into this band, believe it or not, and Pure really hits a sweet spot for me cool Concerto Maximo sounds like it's amazing as well.

If anybody here hasn't seen Still Crazy, I can highly recommend it.

Starring Jimmy Nail, Billy Connolly, Timothy Spall, Bruce Dickinson & Bill Nighy, this movie is a few years old now but leaves stuff like Spinal Tap standing.
I'm not sure if it has a lot to do with the British sense of humour, but I've seen this movie several times & I never tire of it.

It also won an award for best original song.

Check it out.

I watched TRANSATLANTIC - LIVE IN EUROPE last night on our HD television. I can't say enough nice things about HD quality. It makes even a non-HD DVD look ultra-fantastic! The color and sharpness are brought out in a way that makes it seem as though you've never seen the DVD before now....at least not like this.

What a great gig they recorded. It was the day after the 9/11 tragedy, and Neal dedicated "We All Need Some Light" to the survivors. Pete's bass level is very prominent in this recording, and he plays like there's no tomorrow. Before now, I'd never really paid attention to his talent as a bass player. Very impressive. And then you have Neal, Daniel Gildenlow, Roine and Mike Portnoy doing what they do best....... smiley

If you've not got this DVD, run out and get it NOW! But don't get the American concert of the same tour, get the European gig. The American concert recording was done early in the tour, and admittedly the band was not up to par. It's no where near as excellent as the European recording.

As a matter of fact, here's WE ALL NEED SOME LIGHT

Cadillac Records

Based on a true story, this is a movie about Chess Records.
Brilliantly acted, it kept me glued to the screen from start to finish.
Highly recommended.
