Are you finding it hard work FIC? Remember, the early Genesis stuff undoubtedly influenced the early Marillion stuff. If you like one, you should like the other. Try A Trick Of The Tail if you want a more 'straight forward' Genesis album. It's brilliant; very melodic with great production. wink

I used the word 'ploughing' quite deliberately in terms of it being a hard album to get to know. Having said that, I find it easier to digest than I did Nursery Cryme. The problem is I'm playing it in the car & the volume level goes up & down all the time so that I find some of the lyrics hard to hear. I suspect that I will come to love it. Apart from Supper's Ready, of which I must say I have only scratched the surface, great though it is, my favourite tracks are Watcher of the Skies & Can-Utility & the Coastliners. The latter track appeals because I am a British history buff.

I already know A Trick Of The Tail (in part), favourites being Ripples, Entangled & Dance On A Volcano, & will return to it after I have had my first listens to SEBTP & TLLDOB...

Sorry to get off track...

The Lamb is one of the most difficult to get into if you're new to it, but it will reward you in spades once you've given it a few listens. smiley Listen to SEBTP first as it's more 'straightforward' if that makes sense, and easier to digest - and brilliant of course. wink
