Now listening to:

Pallas - The Sentinel

One of those albums that helped to keep prog alive during the dark days of the early eighties. smiley

Was it you or was it me? Or was it he or she?

NB: despite what my name may suggest, I was not born in 1972 tongue

Yep, and now moving on to Steely Dan. Both are great examples of American 70s rock bands.

Steve Hackett - Premonitions, Disc 3, specifically Cured. I never bought the remaster of this, a mistake, for this features the remastered version, and it certainly improves the album massively. Clearer, better imaging, and the bass (Played by Steve of course) is so much better delivered. Not a bad album, the vocals on can't let go are a bit jarring, I think he needed to do it in a different key, one he would have been more comfortable with.

Incidentally, for anyone who has the Premonitions box set, I strongly recommend re-housing your discs in something else, like blank jewel cases or a discgear box. The original packaging does put micro-scratches on the discs, I've examined them under strong lighting, prolonged insertion/removal WILL render them hard to play. I do wish record companies would stop messing with CD packaging, nothing beats the proper jewel case!

"One wish?"
"Yes, one" said the genie.
"Simple! I'll have the musical talent of Steve Hackett" I replied!
