Spoke to a couple at the Hackett gig last night who said if you like Meatloaf but without his range then this is for you. I am not a fan of his voice so won't be getting it. My advice is try before you buy if possible but if you like his voice then....!!!

I like it a lot, have played it at least 5 times now and it's a grower. Not had anything by him before apart from the Hackett material. Some of it meanders a bit, but overall good quality I would say.

I've never been a soul fan, can't be doing with all that warbling and wailing, but I always liked The Stylistics. They were different. Enjoyed them back in the seventies and still like them now. Good songs, well sung. smiley

I wrote a love song in sixteen bars, and presumably had a double whisky in each one! wink

You've definitely got to get the Unifaun album. Such a great tribute to the sound of each era of Genesis music. All original songs too.

Nad's voice is every bit as unique as Peter Gabriel's. I think the new album is great.

Ooh, that sounds nice. However, several people on ProgArchives are not fond of it, going by the reviews on there. They say it's too much of a rip-off. Maybe I'll get it, not sure yet.

Right now I've been exploring Peter Gabriel's albums. I'm really enjoying them! cool This week, I'll be listening to his popular live album Plays Live, and not long after that I'll check out Us, OVO and Up, all of which I bought in advance.

Not often I disagree with you COT but I would never put Nad and Peter in the same sentence smiley

Saw him last night and to my ears he is extremely limited vocally and struggled with a number of Genesis songs. It might just be me my friend but I am not a fan of his voice. lipsrsealed

I haven't heard that album. Would be interested in your feedback.

Actually looking at progarchives, I cannot believe that Paradise Theater only gets 2.9 stars. Great album!!

Yes, but you've always been one to put vocal quality in the backseat when the music is superb, and the music is absolutely great on Nad's new album. Highly recommended!!

You may even come away with a different view of his vocals smiley

I bought a couple of singles off Pieces Of Eight back when it was released. Always meant to get the album but never did at the time. It's a great album Colin, imo anyway. Superior to Paradise Theater. More dynamic with a great mix of hard rock and superb harmonies. If you like Styx at all then you should love Pieces Of Eight. wink
