It's difficult to detect it online. undecided Your comment made it look as though I was indecisive, which is half-true because I called the live album consistent, but just over half of it was good; they was supposed to be my final thoughts.

Let me tell you a little story about this. When the album came out, I was in France with my school class for an exchange trip. We had all been eager for the release, because at the time, everybody was into Oldfield and QE2 seemed so long ago. So at the day of the release, me and some friends went to a record store in Chaumont / Haute Marne and listened to Family Man, which could be listened to in the shop via ear phones. The audio performance was horrible and we thought, what, this is the new Oldfield?? It left us disillusioned until we returned to Germany, hit the next record store and actually got the record. Until this day it is one of my favorite Oldfield releases.

Bought this on vinyl, then on CD, then remastered CD and finally as 5.1 surround remaster.

Although I seldom listen to Oldfield these days, this is one of my favourites by him. Love Crises too, which came out the following year. smiley

Interesting story. smiley And yeah, Family Man isn't that great. But it's okay.
