Please tell me your thoughts. I will be getting it tomorrow!!

Gutted that I missed their concert in Edinburgh on Friday but have not been well. Did they perform well in Bury?

On first listen,it's pretty good. They played the whole of the album,at Bury, and I wasn't too keen on the first couple of songs, but the album got stronger towards the end, imo.Maybe that was because it was all new material that I hadn't heard and it was slightly different to what they've done before,as they were using a few different sound effects and it came across as a little pretentious. On reflection,it was an excellent gig.

When I played the cd for the first time, yesterday,I thought it was better than when they played it live.

Currently listening to Tiffany Evans-s/t

Last night, the wife and I watched the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions. I was amazed at the great artists being inducted - Peter Gabriel, KISS, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt, The E Street Band, Hall and Oates.

It was surreal to see and hear Cat Stevens perform after all these years. I was blown away by the women vocalists who showed up to sings Linda Ronstadt's songs since Linda was not able to make it to the event - Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow and Emmylou Harris. Stunning performances by all. If you get a chance to see the induction ceremony on television, and you are a fan of any of these artists, you won't be sorry cool

Agreed, it was a great show, although I thought the first two women who sang with Nirvana (Joan Jett and somebody else) were horrendous. I also liked Glenn Frey singing with the women you mentioned and was a bit disappointed that Don Henley didn't show up, given that Linda was instrumental in helping Frey and Henley form the Eagles. Also, it's sad that Clarence Clemmons wasn't around for this. cry

Glad you mentioned Clarence. He and Danny Federici were sorely missed. You just know they would have basked in that well-deserved glow of appreciation from their peers. The E Street band played phenomenally that night too. I changed channels when Nirvana came on as I'm not a fan tongue

I can tolerate some Nirvana songs, and I actually thought their third song, sung by that vocalist from St. Vincent, was pretty good. Thank the heavens they didn't let Courtney Love sing. shocked I do often enjoy watching Dave Grohl go apeshit on his drumset.
