I agree that the music on it is good. However, the album, from my view, unfortunately fails to bring its storyline to life. Whereas The Snow Goose and Nude have beautifully crafted and memorable storylines that inspire various emotions in me (TSG especially - it's a flawless opus), Stationary Traveller doesn't do this. Its story doesn't shine through enough to make me want to follow it, and so it's reduced to just being a good album with decent music on it. Certainly not a bad listen, but it's disappointing when you remember that it's supposed to be a concept album. My score for it would be 6.5.

Watched a PBS concert on tv last night with Brit Floyd. They played One Of These Days brilliantly.

Thanks COT. smiley I saw Brit Floyd in 2012. An awesome tribute that I certainly want to see again at some point.

Yes's Tormato, an album considered horrible by many Yes fans. But me? I quite like it. tongue

Great jazz sounds from Barbara Thompson! Thanks so much to Noni for introducing me to this wonderful artist.

Here's some info from the CD Universe site -

This eight-song 1978 LP consists of a jazz/rock fusion ensemble led by saxophonist Barbara Thompson, the wife of Colosseum's Jon Hiseman; she has also played with Keef Hartley, Rod Argent, and Manfred Mann's Earthband.
