I stumbled upon this, and I have to admit I've never heard of a film genre called Texas Pulp Fiction Noir. But I watched it, and I think I really liked it. wink Excellent performances by Sam Sheperd, Don Johnson, and Dexter. Very very different, violent and odd. Sort of a mixture of Cape Fear, Taxi Driver, and No Country For Old Men. If y'all can wrap yer heads around that.

cool

Big Season Finale night. Homeland and The Affair! Get ready to discuss Homeland guys!

The Affair is an extended show, I cancelled my workout tomorrow morning so I can stay up and watch it, I'm such a rebel! grin

So whadya think about the Homeland finale? I liked it and even though a bit predicable, thought it capped a great season well.

I liked it too, very much. Except.... cry cry cry

Don't want to say too much yet in case the others haven't watched it. But that scene with Quinn a few weeks ago has traumatized me forever!

Haha. Brilliant minds. grin. I was going to mention that exact same thing but didn't for exactly the same reason as you. Rough scene for sure and wished it was another character but not sure that would've had the same impact if it wasn't Quinn.

All in all I really enjoyed this season and thought it got back to what made the show great at the start. Not much if any side stories to take away from the show's main premise.

Oh, and I was psyched to see the Mercedes/trunk scene. I'd have been bummed if it ended any other way. So glad it didn't end up on a beach somewhere and some type of search carried over into next season. Done and done! grin

Yes!

Carrie is still a great character and Clare Danes a great actor. I really enjoyed this season.

Did you ever see 'Boy in the striped Pyjamas'? Quinn was a really mean Nazi!

Enjoyed it. Felt like an anti climax though after the amazing penultimate episode. Looking forward to Series 6.....and another Fargo grin

cool

I was very happy to get this for Christmas.
I don't have any of the others from that Vault series but am definitely interested in getting more.

I have all except the latest release (Live In Leeds 1982), and I have yet to watch the Tokyo 1990 disc, but overall I very much like what I've seen. The only one I'm a bit disappointed in is the Hyde Park 1969, which is no more than a short documentary of the Hyde Park concert. Really for the most die hard fans I think.

Interesting is that this series is being released by the Eagle Rock production company which is owned by Universal...the same folks who are responsible for the latest Genesis video releases (i.e. R-Kive doc and TSL). The Stones, being the The Stones, apparently have a number of concert related films kicking around for release. Too bad that the Genesis live history isn't as well documented. But it would be nice if the powers that be at Universal put some effort into restoring the 1976 Glasgow gig in its entirety.

I think I'd be disappointed with that too.
Thanks for that info. In all honesty, I would likely would have gone for that one next.
Instead, Iíll set my immediate sights on L.A. í75 or Hampton í81.
