An uncomfy night's sleep, ugly weather outside and hearing about the people killed in the Oklahoma tornado makes a rather miserable start to the day. undecided

I put Big Big Train's English Electric Part Two CD in my laptop and started Windows Media Player to rip it onto my mobile phone. The WMP CD database identified the album as English Electric Part One complete with that album's cover and track titles. shocked Thank goodness I was able to manually enter the track titles and supply the correct cover art before ripping it. smiley

Despite a very high score of 4.34 on ProgArchives, personally I regard Gentle Giant's In A Glass House album as their second weakest. shocked It's got some nice moments, but its biggest flaw is its production. The guitars and organ often come across as annoyingly tinny and weak to my ears, especially throughout most of Way Of Life and Experience. That said, the album's last track, (the title track) is one of my favourite Gentle Giant songs. A very catchy tune. smiley

A quick ranking of the album's tracks:

In A Glass House
The Runaway
Experience
Reunion
Way Of Life
An Inmate's Lullaby

Also, my current ranking of the eight main Gentle Giant albums (everything released before the Playing The Fool live album):

Three Friends
Free Hand
Octopus
The Power And The Glory
Acquiring The Taste
Gentle Giant
In A Glass House
Interview

Playing The Fool wipes the floor with all of them though. tongue
