I did, but briefly. I mentioned how they managed to avoid appearing pretentious thanks to blending in an accessible sound with their prog, and by remaining neutral in this way managed to survive the end of the progressive era.

I've never understood how they haven't split up. The jealousy: "You've got all the letters of your name in the band, and I've only got one!"

Jerkward wouldn't have worked, Foxy! grin

How can a + b = b if a and b both equal 1?

a + b = 2a
a + b = 2b

Surely? Or am I missing a trick somewhere?

Why is there a greater than sign after the equals sign at the start of each equation? Maybe that's where I'm going wrong. undecided

shocked grin wink

I would say that your progression from the third to the fourth equation is invalid, since in this case (a-b)=0, and you cannot divide anything by 0.

Dust is awarded a gold star for spotting the erroneous step that leads to the anomaly. smiley

Well I suppose it was many years ago! grin wink kiss

P.S. The "=>" signs mean "thus" or "implies".

Last week there was a class reunion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of us passing a - levels. Met my math teacher again. He gave me a pain in the arse for 7 years. And I still fail to forgive him.

If I could choose, I'd make the next forum theme for the Live Over Europe album. We've had a lot of bright and sunny forum themes recently so I'd prefer something more dark and depressing for May, even if it doesn't match the season. A black and white forum theme would look fresh and interesting IMHO.
