It's time for Cynthia to wield her mallet and smash this theme into touch!

The Windows Media Player CD database named the second track on Renaissance's album Scheherazade And Other Stories as Vultures Fligh High! shocked grin Of course the second word should've been "fly", a change that was easy for me to make. wink

The first time I saw a mobile phone was in Bangkok ~ Thailand. We haven't heard about them in Spain but when we got there everybody had one of these big Nokia (?, I think it was Nokia .... rolleyes).

I think it was 1993.

Got a keyboard concert this weekend. Performing five songs in this order:

1. The Beatles - It's All Too Much
2. Vivaldi - Spring
3. David Newman - Ice Age opening music
4. The Vaccines - All In White
5. Camel - A Song Within A Song (keyboard solo)

It's really great to be able to choose your own songs to perform at concerts. Back in the old days of performing music live (back when I played the trombone) I always had songs chosen for me by my music teacher, and they were usually ones which I struggled with (I gave up the trombone due to this, and moved onto keyboards).

What I choose to play is always based off of the songs I learn by ear. The songs listed above are songs that I would always play at random when messing around on the keyboard, finding the notes and then rehearsing them again and again.

And then when the annual concert is on the horizon, I choose the songs I like to play best, get the approval from the concert manager, and sequence them into a medley. I'm allowed five (one more than last year) because the concerts are small, with, unfortunately, fewer and fewer people performing each year.

Not performing any Genesis yet unfortunately - their songs are extremely difficult of course, and though I've attempted various keyboard solos, none of them are at performance standard. undecided
