Donald Trump reminds me of Greg Stillson in Stephen King`s novel Dead Zone.

It's been said if the unbelievable happens and he becomes president, the Australian government will looking seriously at our alliance with the US. The ANZUS treaty signed more than sixty years ago could be torn up. All I can say about this is WOW!!

I'm sorry to say... while it wouldn't be quite the circus, Ted Cruz could very well be a far worse president. Hillary has to win. undecided

I agree Dust. I'm not really into talking politics here but I feel this go round I'll be choosing more the lesser of two evils than one person I really want or can get behind. And that sucks!

Either way, I think it'll be a one and done term for whoever wins. Or in Hillary's case....her 3rd! wink

What about Bernie Sanders?

(Forgive me if that's a stupid question. I don't know much about U.S. politics, I just know that there's a lot of support for Sanders being elected the President).

I'd vote for Bernie in a heartbeat before I'd vote for Trump or Cruz, but many believe he is unelectable.

If I thought Bernie could win, I'd vote for him. The Republicans have ruined their party, shot themselves in the foot over and over. No wonder Nancy Reagan chose to leave this earth before the election. Her husband was the last great conservative to hold the office of President of the United States. If John Kasick had a good chance to be nominated, he'd be a great Republican option as well. I'm betting the Republican party dissolves after this election. We should be voting for the best person anyway, not across party lines. The parties have divided the nation, it seems, almost irreparably.

Age doesn’t seem to be such a barrier in the US. Ronald Reagan was nearly 70 when he became president & since then 2 Republican nominees for president, John McCain & Bob Dole have been over 70.
