You know, you are getting old, when you don`t even know the names, of those, who won. Taylor Swift? Who the f**k? And Mark Ronson? The son of Mick Ronson, or what?

Hmmm. I'm unsure that not knowing the name of one of the biggest stars on the planet is a sign of getting old. No offense, but isn't it more likely that you just have no interest?

No. It is simply, that I heard of her for the very first time in my life on the news today.

Yes my friend, that's my point. It's not because you're old, it is because you are entirely detached from the world of current pop music, not that there's anything wrong with that. wink It is otherwise inconceivable that you've never heard of her.

And I thought I was out of touch! grin

Some of the tracks from Taylor's 1989 album are actually pretty good.

Heh, heh! I do not listen to the radio these days, except, when I am in my car. And there I have an oldies station on. MTV is a pay - for channel in Germany and VIVA (the most popular music video channel in Germany) gets me down within seconds, so I cling to the skip button on my remote control...

Have any other British forumites noticed that in 30 years' time Taylor is going to look like Theresa May, our current Home Secretary, who we can only hope will be long-forgotten by then? wink

I hadn't noticed that. The only thing I always think when I see Taylor is "Why does she always look like she's made of plastic?" smiley

She's definitely talented and seems to have her act together. A much better role model for teenage girls and young women than most of the others out there now but I always think she could stand to eat a cheeseburger or two, maybe with a milkshake, and some pie for desert.

Aside from possibly needing to gain a few pounds IMO, I think she's pretty great and a very talented young woman.

I agree. Except about the thin part, she looks very healthy, she's probably just naturally thin like that. I used to be, people always told me to go eat a sandwich.
