Priests' Socks

Father Ted: That's right, Dougal. You see, ordinary shops sell what look like black socks, but if you look closely, you'll see that they're very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue.

Father Dougal: That's true. I thought my Uncle Tommy was wearing black socks, but when I looked at them closely, they were just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue.

Father Ted: Never buy black socks from a normal shop.

[Whispers to Dougal]

Father Ted: They shaft you every time!

[Dougal looks worried]

I've decided I'm going to re-delete Misunderstanding and Please Don't Ask from the album Duke on my iTunes. One day I decided to add them back to the album, but after listening it today, I wished I had never done so. Misunderstanding kills the epic beauty built up with Man Of Our Times, and Please Don't Ask does the same for Cul-De-Sac (though to a lesser extent). I know it may be controversial to remove songs from the listening experience, but to me, without these two songs buggering it up Duke goes from being a very good album to an excellent album. So why leave them on there if I'm just going to skip them each and every time?

Why delete them? just set up a playlist of your preferrred version of the album!

I just found out why my laptop has been loading webpages (especially the forum) slower than usual. Apparently, I had a virus toolbar that installed itself onto my browser. You know, one of those toolbars that jumps onto your system when you least expect it, attempting to force you to pay for its services. Because Google Chrome quarantined the virus at the time that I got, it didn't tell me the toolbar existed, and left it hidden within the browser without removing it entirely. Chrome now just asked me "do want to permanantly remove this unused feature?" and now it's fully gone I can load pages much quicker. Hooray! smiley

Whenever I hear Adele's Skyfall on the TV or radio, I feel the urge to play Muse's Supremacy. Whilst the Adele track is a pretty good Bond theme, I think that the Muse track would've been a far better choice. smiley

The title track on A Trick of the Tail is deceptively tricky to play on piano. And I'm only as far as the verse...
