I write the date without dropping certain numbers, so I'd write it as 15/05/2015 instead of 15/5/15. smiley

That reminds me, every time I look at the clock and it shows 22:22 I wonder in what countries people see that on a clock at all. smiley

Us Yanks feel the same way about your putting the month before the day wink

May 15th, 2015 = 5/15/2015 grin

Now that I think about it, in the UK, you would say 15th May, 2015, so it makes sense to write it 15/5/2015

It's just bonkers to have the order of magnitude go down and then back up again!

I could understand if it were 2015/5/15. But going month/day/year, which is totally out of order in terms of size, just boggles the mind!

wink tongue

In the US, the date has been palindromic since Sunday and will continue to be so until next Monday! grin

Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death.

What's fascinating to me is that I have never before seen a case in which so many people--clergy and religious leaders and the like--have said, "I'm against the Death Penalty, but for this guy who tried to kill and maim as many innocent people as possible... I'm okay with it."

Awesome, just watched the video again. That kid was early good in this film, he wasn't even a professional actor apparently.

I saw a 'Quadrophenia' documentary a couple of years back that was really good. On my top 10 albums.

One of my girlfriends posts pictures of her Dog pretty much daily, and she made a page for him of his own.

It's a bit disturbing to see, but in person I like her so much I think, what the hell, if it makes her happy.

If I didn't know her personally, I'd think she was a sort of sad person, but she's not. Somebody told her posting all those picture of her dog looked pathetic, she told him to p*** off and continued doing what she liked. Gotta admire that. grin

Internet perception, fascinating stuff.

A friend of mine has that kind of pet fb page for her cat. I was teased to make fun of it at first too but just like you I thought come on, leave it to her what makes her happy. Then I had to admit it is fun indeed, she registered her cat as a 'monarch', when she posts pictures of him she adds captions such as "His Royal Highness mildly accepted a gift from his human servant today". cheesy

When I was in Turks and Caicos, I met a posh British woman who was working over there. When I told her my niece lived in basingstoke she screwed up her nose and said 'Oh Dear' I was pissed off, but then I realized that I haven't really seen much of the place apart from my nieces house and the place she got married, but it looked lovely to me.

Is Basingstoke considered a dump in the UK?
