I'm wondering if you are referring to Kentucky Fried 'Chicken' (shudders), and if it is, the first time I ever ate that was outside the Sheffield Wednesday Ground when I was 14 years old!

If it's not KFC, what is this Chicken of which you speak?

Oh I never thought of that! Too funny. Here we do have some hole in the wall Fish and Chip places that taste very authentic, other than that I think you are right!

I haven't changed my sig to Toronto as they don't seem to do them anymore! Besides, I'd only have to change it again in November.

Interesting the way this thread is going. To the best of my knowledge, if we look at obesity rates, the UK is near the top but I'm sure that the US is even nearer the top. wink

I remember reading somewhere that Mexico has recently overtaken the United States as the nation with the most obese people.

Anyway, Lily is in Canada. I Googled "Canadian food" and came up with an almost-blank screen with a picture of some bacon. cheesy

I was excited for a nano-second when I saw on FaceBook that the band Panic Room is playing in Reading this weekend. Of course, I immediately realized that it is not Reading, Pennsylvania. rolleyes

It is KFC! We don't franchise restaurants! grin

I walked into the "English pub" in Harry Potter world in Florida last year. Some Canadians were pretending to be English. Then we spoke. They looked deflated: "Oh, REAL English people!" "Yes" I said, "We're just here to check standards are being kept up" cheesy

I used to think that British actresses Emily Blunt and Emily Mortimer were the same person.

'English pubs' are always atrocious over in NA aren't they?

I guess they base it on the tourist region of central London, where they are equally atrocious. Give me the Red Lion in my Northern village any day!
