Arsenal used to be the best divers in the EPL so I fund it a little strange what Arsene Wenger said after the match. Man Utd seem to have overtaken Arsenal now though

Should play Tom Daley in the team.

I got halfway through Book III of The Dark Tower series and stopped. Something about huge mechanical bear-monsters. Maybe I'll pick it back up someday. smiley

I think you shouldn `t. If you didn`t like The Wastelands, then you will surely dislike volumes five to seven as well. A lot of mechanical monsters, time travels, parallel worlds and Stephen King himself being involved in the plot.

The Wastelands was one of my favorites of the serial. Huge atmosphere, especially the parts, that play in Lud.

My personal ranking of the Tower Novels:

The Dark Tower - huge plot and the final showdown
The Drawing Of The Three - incredibly intense
The Wastelands - very dense atmospheric novel
The Gunslinger - same as The Wastelands, but not as good in language and style
Wizard And Glass - interesting journey into the Gunslinger`s past
Song Of Susannah - slightly psychedelic, maybe a bit much
The Wolves Of The Calla - the weakest of all, but still very good.

"The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."

It's not that I disliked it... I just put it down one day and never had the urge to pick it back up. wink That happens more as I get older, but when I force myself to keep reading I'm usually happy I did.

There are times when the only album that hits the spot is The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway...

I learnt this morning that Crimea was previously part of Russia until Khrushchev gave it to Ukraine about 60 years ago.

Indeed. And at that time it didn`t make much of a difference because it was all Soviet Union. These days it makes a difference. I am not sure, whether the Western countries are behaving particularly clever concerning Ukraine / Russia at the moment.

At the end of the day it's Russia imposing the referendum on Ukraine as opposed to Ukraine legitimately using it's democratic right to exercise it's use of a fair referendum. 'Nuff said. It's illegal and the result should not be recognised by both the UN and the world at large...
