Have you tried this:

http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/ - make sure nothing else is using the internet in the house while you do this.

Also, are you sure it's the internet that's slow, and not the PC? Are there other devices in the home? Smart TV, smartphones, etc. Are they slow too? The PC can be the slow part (It is here, now) for several reasons, inc. Browser add-ons, virus software (Norton makes your computer so slow it couldn't "catch" a virus! grin) or background programmes including disc scanning done at scheduled times. Open task manager (Control + Alt + Del) and click the Processes Tab. Then click CPU so the little arrow above "CPU" points down. This will make it list what's using processor time in usage order. You might find something is doing stuff you didn't expect.

Worth bearing in mind recent weather has caused havoc with some underground cables, and infinity is often copper cable from the street cabinet to the house, so you might have issues there too.

You can only say "best" when choosing between 3 or more choices. If there are only 2 choices, you can only say "better". So there! grin

I couldn't find a CD. I opened the case for Ziggy Stardust, and thought where the heck is the disc.
I looked around, trying to think where it could have dropped or where I might have left it.

And then a thought occurred me.
I recalled mentioning it on a playlist on this site very recently (now playing/earlier today).
Searched and found that I played it in late December, along with four other CDs that day.

Pulled out those four titles, and sure enough, it was doubled up with Thick As A Brick.

I was quite pleased, first time for me the playlist actually served a very practical purpose. grin
