I may have said this before, but it's always quite strange how, when we are stirring after having woken up from a dream, we still feel like the task we have to complete in the dream has to be done. Last night for example I dreamt that I had to clean the kitchen and then attend a movie. And even when it became clear to me that it was all a dream and I was really in bed, I still said to myself in my head "I have to clean that kitchen or I'll miss the movie." grin

It was only when I clambered out of bed after an extra two hours of sleep (where I dreamed about the same thing) did I realise "Oh yeah, it was just a dream. There's no movie." laugh

There was a whole microwave debate here Paloma based on the fact that i didn't think anybody really used them much anymore, I wasn't very popular!

Wish I could remember what thread it was on, this one maybe. Or smile on face.

I didn't see that debate Lily, sorry. But I promise I am totally honest, I gave up using microwave some years back. In fact, I never used it too much when I had it.

Just now I tried to make a new thread for Genesis song discussion, but I felt that we've discussed them enough already, so I couldn't bring myself to submit the thread. Maybe another time. smiley

I do not know a single album from Renaissance and Gentle Giant. So I will not vote in these polls up there....

shocked

They are both tremendous classic bands and I strongly recommend their albums. For Gentle Giant, the albums from their debut up to Interview are essential, and for Renaissance, the ones from Prologue to All Song For All Seasons are the ones to get. Both bands are, like 1970s Genesis, strongly influenced by classical and medieval music and are magnificently talented! smiley

Both bands also have a classic live album each too! Gentle Giant has a truly masterful live album called Playing The Fool, and Renaissance has the gorgeous Live At Carnegie Hall. Trust me, slowdancer. The albums of these two bands are essential to every fan of prog rock! cool

I went into central London for a work meeting today.

On arriving at the train station I happened to glance up at the clock as the train pulled into the platform.

I was pleased to see the time was exactly 12:34:56 at the second I looked up. smiley
