Nobody's won "Pointless" for a long time, so the jackpot has rolled over to about 19K. shocked cool

When I was in Vegas last weekend I saw a Kardashian. Apparently this one is called Kourtney. I texted my 19-year-old daughter, who promptly texted back, "Ugh, she's the worst one!"

Last week we had a fire drill in my office (we have them every six months or so) so we all trooped outside to stand in the cold and shiver for a few minutes before being let back inside.

I had a new member of staff start today so as part of his 'induction' I said 'and if the fire alarm goes off you have to exist through the main doors or the fire exits at the side of building but we only had a drill last week so I don't suppose there will be one again for a while'.

Famous last words....guess what happened next?

(Go on, guess....betcha' can't work it out! wink )

Is it possible not to exist while going through the main doors at your office? That's pretty clever smiley

Hahahaha grin I do try and proof read everything before I post but obviously the odd mistake slips through!

Sometimes I do feel I'm entering some sort of twilight zone as I go into the office, and maybe I don't exist outside of the office..... (I think we need a sort of ghostly smiley here)

Last time I was in Vegas Kobe Bryant was at the next table. Apparently this was a big deal to my person. grin

I've been to the South Beach restaurant that Rod Stewart frequents 3 times now, and I don't even like it that much. Not seen Rod either! Just Drew Barrymore, Michael Jordan and Pitbull. rolleyes

Crisp packet sell by dates are always on a Saturday.

(I'm waiting for the myriad of emails which tells me this isn't so, but I thought the above statement had more impact than 'many crisp packet sell by dates are dated on a Saturday).

For our US friends: crisp = chip

I got home last night, and neither my cable TV nor my internet service was working. They lost our last payment and shut it off without so much as a phone call. I was pissed.

So my wife and I watched a DVD (Looper, a nifty little time-travel thriller with Bruce Willis), then I read my book (The Life of Pi, which is excellent so far) while listening to some music (A Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering).

It was an excellent evening! smiley
