There's going to be new legislation in the UK blocking internet porn by default and users will have to "opt in" if they wish to see adult material.

Serious advice here – opt in. Not to watch porn but because if you don’t opt in, you’ll find yourself unable to access legit non-porn sites that are hosted on the same servers, not to mention the sites that will be mistakenly classified as porn.

Agreed. Some mobile phone networks have been blocking "adult material" by default for a while. One that was blocked for me was this forum, presumably because conforums.com hosts some more risque discussions.

This is an alarming development, quite apart from the fact that every IT project any British government gets involved in is an expensive disaster. They start by blocking kiddie porn which everyone abhors - but once the filters are there, how long before they’re used to edit out anything the government deems undesirable? And how long before any job application form for the public services asks you whether you’ve “opted out”, & rejects applicants that have?

No television news for me for at least a week. It will be at least that long until the real news is anything more than a 5 minute afterthought at the end of bulletins. rolleyes

Just lie to them. If they say you have, you can sue them under the Data protection act! wink

Give it a week or two, (till the stories grow hazy, and the legends come true!) grin

If the weather is as hot as at the moment, it makes more sense, drinking warm drinks (tea) instead of cold drinks (Coke on the rocks). Any arab will confirm.
