In high school I dated a girl named Sharon. We called her "Sharon share-alike".

When it's good, it's the best; when it's bad, it's terrible. It can be self-indulgent, tuneless and downright boring. But remember, that's just my opinion. wink

I concur, as many here already know. I believe the cream rises to the top, and the more talented artists find an audience. Occasionally I'll buy Prog-Rock Magazine, which comes with a CD of music by lesser-know Prog artists. Most of the music--in my opinion--is awful.

Now, bad music is bad music, whether it's rock, pop, folk, or whatever. But Prog often has that aura of, "Hey we're different... we don't follow standard musical conventions... listen to how interesting we are."

F*ck interesting. Give me a well-written song with a strong melody and great musicianship, and I'm happy. smiley
