Two excellent movies:
The Case For Christ from the book of the same name very interesting and thought provoking
Alien:Covenant excellent follow up to the previous movie. Can't wait for the next one

Watched an old Clint Eastwood movie from 1958... shocked Ambush at Cimarron Pass.. Clint and his son Scott look very similar, when Clint was much younger in those days.

Pretty much an average film 5/10... The ending was quite abrupt in those days and it's the first movie where Clint gets beaten by a right hook!... This is a typical cowboy and indian movie..... Not sure if anyone else has seen this? Definitely a B'movie rating!!..........

Dunkirk. I had an uncle who was there, and I've been there myself, so it was kind of inevitable I would see this. Glad I did, a truly outstanding film that captures the stress and frustration of the soldiers who waited, and the rescuers who went far beyond the call of duty, and in some cases, as depicted here, not even really a duty, but a feeling of "we can't just leave them there" by civilians.

Interesting soundtrack, which ramps up the pressure, mostly hard to be called a soundtrack really. More just "sounds"!

The EU Brexit negotiating team should be made to watch this film, than be asked "What is Britain's bill?". angry

I'll have to watch it again before I can be more definitive, but I think I liked it a lot. I'm a fan of old-style musicals to a certain degree, but I have to be in the mood--I can usually watch the likes of West Side Story or Singin' in the Rain when they come on the TV, though once in a while I just can't stomach the cuteness.

Unfortunately, the music didn't grab me. They're all songs I'd never heard before, so a second viewing may increase my enjoyment. I liked the leads very much. They had good chemistry and are both charismatic. The story wasn't much, though the cinematography was excellent, replete with vibrant color and spectacular scenery.

All in all, I don't know if it deserved all of its awards and accolades, but it was a solid old-fashioned entertainment. I will definitely watch it again soon--it's saved in my DVR--because I know my wife will like it.

I watched the Final Cut version of this movie. I'm not sure what this movie is trying to say. I'm going to need a second viewing to better understand it's message.

Damn. This is one weird movie... bizarre, disturbing, thought-provoking. It was difficult to watch, but I couldn't look away. If you like neat, literal, mainstream films, this one is not for you. But if you're into the art of moviemaking and the visions of offbeat, possibly-deranged filmmakers--movies that may occupy, and dare I say haunt, your thoughts in the days ahead--then check it out.

EDIT: Just don't blame me if it really screws you up. lipsrsealed
