Finally saw Spectre. Very enjoyable indeed. Could be Craig's last though methinks..

Concussion with Will Smith about the effects of collisions on NFL players. A very good movie and clearly one of Smith's better performances over the past few years

I watched Spy last night which is supposed to be a comedy. The funniest thing about it was Jason Statham. Avoid

Get Hard. I've still not seen a funny Will Ferrell film, though Elf was mildly amusing

The Big Short
I understand the need to explain the GFC and how it happened, I just think this movie tries to be too clever for its own good.

My person went to see it and loved it. He says I wouldn't understand it as I don't follow the market. Which makes me want to see it to prove him wrong (about me understanding it) but then I won't enjoy its I'll feel stressed out, so I'll probably pass on this one. grin

Have you seen it Dusty?

I couldn't stand him when he was on Saturday Night Live, apart from his Bush impression.

Over the years he's won me over somewhat, I watched 'Get Hard' for about 40 minutes on a plane and parts did make me laugh. Didn't he have a really funny bit in Austin Powers or something? I know he's really made me laugh at times, but he's about as 'un-British' in his comedy as you can get, its very literal..no subtlety at all.

I watched 'Man-Up' with Simon Pegg a few days ago, it wasn't bad for a romantic comedy. A good time waster for a plane ride.

don't remember seeing him in Austin Powers. I hated that film first time I watched it, loved it the second time. Weird, huh?

Not weird at all. I've had similar experiences with films the second time around, particularly comedies. I guess sometimes you need the humour to sneak up on you.

Yeah, don't remember Ferrell in Austin Powers either. Never understood his appeal.

No, but I'm sure I will eventually, probably when it hits HBO.
