A modest little psychological thriller. Twisty, creepy, and very entertaining.

My daughter's saw this last night. Have to ask them what they thought..

The new one by Tom Hanks.

I think you should watch it NOW:

I'll back up Supernatural's review. I reckon it was one of the best movies released last year..

A surprisingly excellent film. The reviews for this film are almost universally positive, but I assumed people were praising it just because it's Wallace and Gromit (well, it's set in the W&G universe at least, since Shaun's part of it). But after watching the film, I really thought it was a triumph. It takes a straightforward premise and maximizes it. Not as good as The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit, but another claymation victory for Aardman.

"From an economic standpoint, what you're asking is problematic to say the least," says Ramses when Moses (Christian Bale) demands that he free the Hebrew slaves. That alone should illustrate just how ludicrous this film is.

After an hour of this I'm only still watching because I want to see the frogs.

Where is Charlton Heston when you need him?

tongue

Edit: Oh, and when I realized after ten minutes that the actor playing the Pharaoh's father was John Turturro, I nearly spit my coffee across the room.

I was waiting for Rusty to pop up somewhere in full gladiator attire but I guess that was just stretching the suspension of disbelief too far..
