Really? I don't fancy it, looks like one of those weird films that makes no sense and goes on forever, maybe I should re-think.

Hmm. With all the awards and accolades and glowing reviews, I don't know why you'd dismiss it outright. It's slightly weird--if by that you mean original and different--and it makes perfect sense. Well, pretty much. cheesy

I think it's outstanding. After another viewing I might even say "brilliant". I'd recommend it to almost anyone I know.

Going to see this on Thursday! cool My brother and I got a movie token each last year for Christmas so we're going to spend them on this movie.

Thanks. smiley

The "weird" element of the film has been played-up in the clips, and in the following poster. Even if these bits of weirdness are not to someone's liking, the other 90% of the movie, in my opinion, is very enjoyable.

I got part way through that and it was pretty good...and then the Keira Knightly character turns up and I thought Oh God here we go, the "woman in a mans world" narrative yet again, ffs.

And whats wrong with that!!

Women have come a long way in the 20th century, and it mostly took one brave woman to go though something like that.

Pfffft.

Yeah, no more movies about people overcoming obstacles to achieve great things. No more history about women or blacks or the disadvantaged rising above the prejudices of their times. No more underdogs. No more fighting against the odds.

Let's stick with movies about giant video game characters devouring entire cities. tongue grin wink

As small, yellow, capsule-shaped creatures in a world of humans the minions had to do some fighting against the odds too! grin

As for me, I'm tired of politically correct movies. Political correctness has turned the world, at least the United States, into a bunch of whining saps.
