You've put me off going to see this film and it would've been the first time in about 4 years that I would've gone to see a film. (That film was the first 'Sex In The City' which was absolutely awful. The only thing good about it was all the naked ladies and rumpy pumpy cool )

Sorry, man. I'd hate to think my opinion might keep you from having a good time at the movies.

I don't often pay attention to the "professional" reviews, though I like to read them after I've seen a film.... The general consensus among critics is that the visuals are beautiful, while the story, dialogue, and characterizations are crummy. I would agree, though relative to my expectations, I'd be far more harsh. (No "rumpy-pumpy," and even Charlize Theron is tiresome and completely unappealing.)

A number of critics used the phrase: "In space, no one can hear you yawn."

No worries about spoiling a trip to the movies and I would value anyone's opinion above a critic's opinion. It's the only film that I've actually thought about going to see for a long time as I liked Ridley Scott's Alien and was hoping it would be similar type of film.

The 'rumpy pumpy' isn't necessary in a Sci-Fi movie smiley

Yeah, no. My son wanted to go to see this again, and I agreed, as I wasn't about to subject myself to the new Adam Sandler movie, so we went.

No, I haven't read the books, so no, I don't know what all the fuss is about. It was okay, and at least it kept me generally entertained for the whole two-and-a-half hours.

I didn't like it much either. It's also the first 3D movie I've seen and that was disappointing too, maybe it's just my eyesight but too many things looked out of focus and it gave me a headache.

I saw Rock Of Ages with my mum - she couldn't stand the blonde leading lady, who had more autotune on her voice than there was on the Squackett album!

Russell Brand's accent wandered all over - my mum thought he was Yorkshire while I thought he sounded South African in some parts! Tom Cruise was miscast as Tracee Jaxx, whose name has had me have Blur's 'Stacey Jacks' as an earworm ever since this was first publicised! His band being called 'Arsenal' made me wish for people to cough on mention of the name in tribute to that Morecambe & Wise sketch!

Pixar's Brave is getting mixed reviews - critics are saying that the animation is still Pixar-quality perfection, but the film's story is dated, muddled, and unengaging. undecided

Looks like the Pixar magic really is fading. sad Cars 2 was a massive misfire and we hoped Pixar would make a great recovery one year later, but if Brave turns out to be a below-average affair too, Pixar may finally have to accept that their storytelling magic is running dry.

Sure, their films will always have the exceptional computer animation, but Pixar are known for the moving and powerful stories that their films tell, and without those stories, their films will be merely decent and no longer special. undecided

EDIT: Also, to add to Pixar's unfortunate downfall, the studio is releasing the direct-to-DVD film Planes next year - a cheap, insulting, bland-looking cash-in on the overexposed Cars franchise. Cars 2, a film sequel no-one wanted, was bad enough, but Planes? angry
