I watched the other day The King's Speech and I think it is a very good film and Colin Firth is superb! (despite he is not my fav actor!). Also Geoffrey Rush is fantastic in this film. smiley

Saw the Denzel Washington movie Flight this evening.

I thought it was very good. Not what I had expected. It wasn't either predictable or contrived, which are things that tend to bother me a lot when I go see a movie. And all of the acting was first rate.

I really liked that movie too.

Last night I saw Les miserable. Oh my a long 2hrs 40minutes for me indeed. I went because of my person and he loved it, oh well. Just not sure it's for Prog Rock fans unless you have extensive tastes.

I'm looking forward to Les Mis, but I've seen it three times on stage and I love most of the music. You're right, it's probably not for those unfamiliar with the show or uninterested in musical theater. (There's a Liam Neesen film of Les Mis from a few years ago, with no music.)

I went to see Les Miz back when the stage musical first came around about...oh, god...20 years ago. undecided
I was blown away. I even own a copy of the Original Cast Recording.

Really looking forward to seeing this movie.

My daughter called me on the phone today, because she saw Django Unchained yesterday night. She was blown away. Will see it myself in due course. Probably next week. Really looking forward to seeing Christoph Waltz. He is pretty well known in Germany and Austria and really a top notch actor.

Christopher Waltz is always a bad guy!

He was great in Inglorious Bastards and Water for Elephants.

The show is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, my friend. We're older than we think. sad

My wife and I saw it on Broadway shortly after it opened. Then we went back two years later. Took the family to see it in Philly about eight years ago. The whole Dust family loves it (though some won't admit it to their tattooed classmates, of course). wink

I thought it might be a bit older than that, but I saw it on it's first run here in '92, I believe.

2 hrs 40 mins of people singing their lines?

I'm an atheist but that sounds like my idea of Hell (if such a place does actually exist).

I guess you must really hate Tommy and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
