I was walking down a road in the neighbourhood when I saw a note that somebody had pinned to their fence. In this case it wasn't about a lost cat or dog, rather a lost tortoise. Now that in itself isn't amusing and I hope the tortoise is found safe and well. But rather than describing the tortoise as "young", it was described as "juvenile"! shocked Now when talking about human beings, whilst juvenile means young - typically under 18 - it only tends to be used in a criminal context in the UK. So there was me with visions of this poor tortoise having committed some heinous crime! grin Of course for all I know, "juvenile" might be a regular word within the tortoise community. wink

Loitering with intent? huh grin

I saw a, ahem, bald, fat bloke in Halesowen with a T shirt on that said "With a body like this, who needs hair?" Made me laugh!

grin

The guy is an idiot with a record as long as your arm for drunk and violent behaviour. No rugby club should ever consider taking him on again.

Off work for 10 days now. Really looking forward to some relaxed days with friends and family after a couple of very tough weeks.

Just spent most of my Ticketmaster card on a ticket for Michael McIntyre at the NIA in September.

What doesn't make me smile though is the extortionate booking fees and postage, which has added on another 6.30! Robbing bastards! It still riles me even though I haven't paid for it!

One word: REFUND!

Purchased a "box set" on Amazon about a month and a half ago. Was sent just the CDs in broken cases without the box. huh angry

Contacted the seller who offered a discount or a full refund. I chose the refund and mailed the discs back. When no refund appeared on my recent credit card statement I contacted the seller again to find out what was going on. He said he can't give me the full refund because I kept the CDs for a month. BS, because I had sent them back after a week or so. When I received no further communication from the seller I contacted Amazon directly and complained.

Just got a notice that they will be giving me the full refund including postage. Woo! cool
