Yes, it is. Shopping isn't normally on my list of fun or exciting things to do and I think the only other time I really got a kick out of it was taking her for a Prom (formal school dance) dress. This is one is a bit more exciting than that and one of those special Dad things that I'm enjoying every minute of. A day in NYC, champagne, lunch, the whole nine yards.

They're getting married in November at The Fountain Of Youth in St. Augustine Fl. cool

And thank you Germany for producing Jan Böhmermann. Sadly the language barrier prevents me from appreciating most of his work, but that Varoufakis song was hilarious. I like the way he mocks his fellow Germans more mercilessly than his targets. Prosecuting Böhmermann to appease Erdogan is a disgrace - like Varoufakis said: “I’ll be damned if I see anyone like him being persecuted by people who oppose basic democratic liberties." angry

The decision, whether Böhmermann will be prosecuted or not, has not been taken yet. The decision of the German government to allow the local authorities to take up investigations against Böhmermann is nothing more, than a formal act, that is requested by these particular penal laws.

Interesting, that everyone starts bashing Merkel for this decision, obviously without knowing, that she didn`t have much of another choice. It is the task of the local attorneys and judges to decide, whether Böhmermann committed a crime or not.

And how ludicrous is it that only a head of state (Erdogan) can get the German authorities to prosecute a satirist on his behalf, whereas they wouldn’t do it for anyone else – Elton John, for example? wink

Merkel could have politely said that this was an archaic law due for repeal & Mr Erdogan could bring a prosecution as a private person if he really wanted to. However you phrase it, this whole thing stinks & Merkel looks like a craven apologist for a dictator.
