I very much like Rhod Gilbert's humour. I hope he was funny in real life.

Awesome picture of you both.... cool

He was, and his 3 DVD's are too. One of my 3 favourite comedians (The current crop, anyway. Jasper Carrott is the daddy!) the other 2 being Sean Lock and Lee Mack.

He's diabetic now, and after a short stint as game show host on Goldenballs, he seems to have quit, comedy in particular as he thinks he's out of touch with what the young market would find funny. I think he's wrong.

I saw him in 78 or 79, he was so funny that when he came on for the encore (The lighting farts routine) I literally could not laugh any more as the muscles were too tired. No other comic has ever done that.

His daughter, Lucy Davis, is an actress. (His real name is Bob Davis)

He once went out with Condoleezza Rice!

Apple Cider Vinegar
Yellow Mustard
Honey
Crushed Pineapple
White Cane Sugar
Dark Brown Sugar
Louisiana Hot Sauce
Crushed Red Pepper
Black Pepper
Tobasco

Makes my signature barbeque sauce. Bringing it with chicken wings to a Fantasy Football Draft today, but that's a whole 'nother thing.

Hi there

Coming into town on the bus this morning and seeing the sun shining over the magnificent St George's Hall and realising what a marvellous city I have the good fortune to live in!

He's still touring; playing Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on Sept 16th, with Bev Bevan and Trevor Burton, billed as "Stand up and Rock".

If that was the show at The Liverpool Empire I was at that one too...78 as I recall.

Best wishes

My wife told me that a warning light appeared on her car's dashboard today. It's orange and it's a picture of a video camera, she said. I figured that it's the "Check Engine" light, and it's a picture of an engine.

Video camera... she's so cute! smiley
