Hi there

Looking out of the kitchen window this morning and seeing the first blossom on my fruit trees - spring has definitely sprung! grin

Three hours ago I felt horribly lethargic; it was absolutely awful. I felt as though I hadn't slept for days, and I was close to collapsing on the floor and sleeping right there. However, after a blissful snooze upstairs, a relaxing dream and a nice cup of coffee right after, I'm feeling perky again. smiley

Thanks Squigs, not that I'm worrying anyway. In an ideal world, we would avoid too much fat, salt, sugar, etc. in our diet, do lots of exercise and drink little or no alcohol. But frankly, life is too short to, for example, check all the ingredients and additives in the food we buy. My diet is far from perfect, but there are people out there who are far worse than me. I do keep reasonably fit by playing badminton and walking a lot - probably at least 2 miles every day - as I'm not driving at the moment. So overall, I don't think I'm doing too badly. smiley

Sounds good. As for me, well I think I deserve a few treats. Life throws some crap at us, but at least there's chocolate! cheesy

As I always say, everything in moderation. They are always coming up with faddy new food tips, only yesterday we had the "its not 5, it's 7 portions of fruit and veg" change, though bear in mind:

1/ This figure is different for different countries, and probably based on what a government thinks it can get you to eat. In Scotland, it's a grape! (It's a joke, I'm half Scottish, put the musket down!)

2/ Conflicting reports suggest that, due to the sugar content, you shouldn't eat more than one piece of fruit a day! huh

In the end, only eating lettuce won't make you live longer. It will just seem like it! grin
